Microgrid California, a one-day educational forum to be held in Foster City, California Oct 5, has reached maximum capacity, and unfortunately cannot accept new registrations.

“We apologize to those who were still hoping to attend Microgrid California. We encourage you to stay tuned. We are well along in planning our next in-person conference, which we will be announcing next week. Details will be provided in the Microgrid Knowledge Newsletter,” said Elisa Wood, editor-in-chief of Microgrid Knowledge.

The Microgrid Knowledge Conference Series offers both virtual and in-person events, designed for those who want to learn about the latest in the fast-growing industry. Begun in 2017, the publication’s events have grown to be the world’s largest gatherings for the microgrid industry.

About Microgrid California

Featuring a series of problem-solving sessions, Microgrid California brings to the stage speakers from colleges, communities, wineries, food production, cities, utilities, community choice aggregations, the military and other fields to discuss their microgrid journeys, including obstacles they faced and solutions they found.

Congressman Jimmy Panetta, a Democrat from California, will keynote the event.  Panetta is author of the bill to boost microgrid adoption, the “Making Imperiled Communities Resistant to Outages with Generation that is Resilient, Islandable and Distributed Act,” or more commonly called the MICROGRID Act.

Highly interactive, the event is designed to attract those seeking microgrids as a way to secure reliable, sustainable and cost-effective energy as California faces what could be years of public safety power shutoffs.

In addition to problem-solving panels and featured speakers, Microgrid California will offer a technology exhibit hall and extensive networking opportunities.

The in-person event will be the first held by Microgrid Knowledge since the start of the pandemic.
