The 9th annual Microgrid Knowledge Conference was a truly charming event—in our somewhat biased but passionate opinions—when it happened this past April in Baltimore at the Marriott Waterfront.
We connected with nearly 500 attendees from all over America and multiple nations, as well as dozens of companies in the microgrid sector. We learned new things from old friends, made new friends and enjoyed beautiful views along the Inner Harbor.

How to top that? We’re going for even bigger and better next April when the 10th MGK Conference happens in Dallas. To paraphrase Texans about their state, it’s going to be a whole other conference.
Our 2025 Microgrid Knowledge Conference page is now up and running, offering the basic introduction to the event planned for April 15-17 in Dallas at the Sheraton.
The MGK editorial team featuring Managing Editor Rod Walton and Senior Editor Breanna Sandridge, will be joined by our expert team of volunteer advisory board members representing all parts of the microgrid industry, as well as the cross-sector contributions of MGK parent Endeavor Business Media.
Our page is pretty basic right now but registration opens soon. It's still too early to announce any content, but we’re also open to your ideas. Our call for sessions will begin in a few months, but feel welcome to reach out to me by email or LinkedIn.
As managing editor, I want Microgrid Conference 2025 to cover all the ground possible in the mission-critical on-site power industry. Generators, software, renewables, energy storage, virtual power plants, efficiency, and future possibilities like hydrogen and nuclear as they all interconnect with the needs of market end users like data centers, universities, military bases and, of course, the ever fascinating artificial intelligence growth.
Yes, we’re in the dog days of summer, but all of us at MGK have cat-like reflexes and aim for real intelligence when it comes to covering the microgrid and aggregated distributed energy resources. Let’s get small together and make the energy world bigger and more diverse in the process.
Check out our Microgrid Conference 2025 page where updates will be coming soon. Once again, Microgrid Knowledge’s 10th annual event will be April 15-17 in Dallas.
