Many companies around the world are looking for the resiliency and sustainability benefits that a microgrid can offer. In this solutions showcase video, go behind the scenes at the Cummins Power Integration Center. This microgrid is intriguing because it can be used to power one of Cummins’ own manufacturing facilities, but it can also be reconfigured to help customize, build and test microgrids for other facilities or a customer’s unique needs.  In this video, you’ll learn how microgrids can be configured to meet the unique needs of a facility, campus or community, using multiple generation sources including renewable energy. You’ll also get the chance to see a microgrid as it is being built.

This session is moderated by Kevin Normandeau, Publisher of Microgrid Knowledge.

Featured speakers include:

Julie Delago, Director – Site and Electromechanical Integration Team, Cummins

Corey Bergendahl, Systems Engineer Product Advisor,  Cummins

Hassan Obeid, Systems Engineer Product Advisor, Cummins

This video was recorded during Microgrid 2021: The World Awakens to Microgrids, a virtual conference held over four weeks in May and June of 2021. The event featured more than 60 speakers across 20 sessions and was designed to educate sustainability and facility managers, energy decision-makers and others curious about microgrids. The overarching theme of the conference focused on the energy, financial, and sustainability benefits that microgrids can offer facilities — and society as a whole. Although this was previously recorded, you’ll find many of the examples and insights are timeless in their strategic value.

The sessions were designed to provide insight into business models, financing, government incentives and other microgrid funding. They also provide guidance when choosing technology and development partners for your microgrid project.
