The Energy Efficient CHP Microgrid

CHP Microgrid

This Special Report from Microgrid Knowledge paints a picture of the emerging microgrid-driven world. It also explains topics like district energy and combined heat and power (CHP). You'll learn how a CHP microgrid improves the economics and energy efficiency of a microgrid. Local energy promises lower costs, more reliable electric supply, storm … [Read more...]

How We Got Here and Why We Need CHP Microgrids

microgrid

Princeton University’s Ted Borer offers historical perspective on lighting -- going back to before Thomas Edison -- and explains why CHP microgrids offer so much value to today's electric grid. Electricity is a high grade form of energy. It is clean to use, high energy-density, quiet, and has a vast array of applications. There is a … [Read more...]

The Ontario Power Authority  will allot contracts for up to 75 MW of CHP for the agricultural industry and 25 MW for district energy projects. It seeks the projects under what … [Read more...]

Think Microgrid: The Local Energy Revolution

Think Energy

This week two years ago, Superstorm Sandy put the 'city that never sleeps at night' into a near coma, disrupting electric power in some parts of New York for two weeks. It was a painful lesson about the vulnerability of our electric grid, not just in New York, but throughout the Northeast. And it was a wake-up call for government leaders about the … [Read more...]
