Microgrid Knowledge Conference Focused on Mission Critical Power Resiliency
Microgrids are a huge part of the consideration for future energy delivery to data centers and other industrial customers. And one conference is solely devoted to microgrids.
The Microgrid Knowledge 2024 event is happening April 22-24 in Baltimore at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel. The latest conference marks many first-time changes for MGK.
In addition to being in Baltimore for the first time in the event's history, Microgrid 2024 will expand into a true three-day conference, running sessions from Monday, April 22 to Wednesday, April 24. We’ll hit the ground running with Monday sessions on university microgrids and how to optimize microgrids for commercial EV charging success, among other content on the kickoff day.

Advocacy group Think Microgrid will hold its annual Summit and likely focus some attention on its state-by-state scorecard evaluating how policies and frameworks to support distributed energy deployments are working out across the U.S.
The list of sessions and speakers is out, and it's dense and informative three days of content. University microgrids, EV charging infrastructure, how to develop a microgrid, how to build a microgrid, utilities and microgrids--you name it, we've micro-ed it.
The hugely trying and lengthy interconnection delays will be in focus at a session on Tuesday, while case studies from microgrid end users such as US Foods, Montgomery County (Maryland) and the data center demand sector will highlight other Microgrid 2024 Conference sessions.
The utility participation this time around is a strong indication of a growing commitment to explore microgrids even within the macro grid context. Among those utilities sending experts to speak at the conference include Exelon, Ameren, Georgia Power, Duke Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric and cooperative Cobb EMC.
Microgrid 2024 will close out at lunchtime Thursday, April 24 with a high-level panel discussing equitable resiliency as a fitting prelude to the annual Greater Good Awards announced at the event’s end.
