Today Microgrid Knowledge unveiled a new resource for its members: The Microgrid Knowledge Video Library, a collection of educational videos modeled after its highly successful Microgrid Knowledge White Paper Library.

Launched with more than 100 in-depth educational videos, the library offers interviews, workshops and discussions with 300 microgrid experts, among them senior executives, engineers, designers, policymakers, regulators, innovators and investors.

The library also includes microgrid tours as well as discussions with various businesses, institutions and government entities that now use microgrid technology describing their experiences.

The Microgrid Knowledge editorial team categorized the videos to ensure easy search by topic and type.

“Research has shown that when people come to understand microgrids, they strongly support the technology,” said Kevin Normandeau, publisher and co-founder of Microgrid Knowledge, who unveiled the video library at Microgrid California, an educational forum hosted by Microgrid Knowledge Oct. 5 in California’s San Francisco Bay Area. “We are continuously looking for new opportunities to foster that education on our omni-channel content platform. The video library is the latest offering.”

You can access the videos for free by becoming a Microgrid Knowledge member, a process that requires only a one-time registration. “After that, as a member, you have access — without additional registration — to a wealth of knowledge from some of the smartest energy professionals in the world,” Normandeau said.

The launch of the video library follows Microgrid Knowledge’s development of the largest white paper library in the world devoted to all things microgrid. The white paper library now has more than 350 titles, which in the last 12 months, alone, were downloaded 35,000 times.

Microgrid Knowledge will continue to build the video library, regularly adding new titles from its microgrid conferences, webinar series, editorial team interviews and partner contributions.

Microgrid Knowledge recorded Microgrid California — a sold out event  — so that those unable to attend can capture the content. The event coverage will be available in the video library in 45 days.

“Video has become an increasingly important medium for us, especially since the start of the pandemic, and it is one we intend to continue to cultivate,” said Elisa Wood, editor-in-chief and co-founder of Microgrid Knowledge. “The video library is in keeping with our strategy to act as a multifaceted content platform.”
