There’s a new job opening at S&C Electric well suited for energy professionals who have experience with advanced microgrid systems. The company seeks an application manager for distributed energy systems.

According to the job posting, the chosen candidate will be “responsible for defining, managing, and developing S&C’s integrated offerings for advanced microgrid systems.” Further responsibilities include evaluating, establishing, and maintaining relationships with strategic partners; developing specifications for integrated microgrid system offerings, tracking and analysis of competitive system components; and collaborating with marketing and sales to craft compelling messaging and marketing collateral.
The position requires five years or more of experience in engineering, business development, and strategy. Market research experience fits the bill, as well. The ideal candidate will have a “blend” of commercial and technical expertise for this position that reports directly to the operations director. This full-time position, with regular hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., requires a Bachelor of Science degree is in business, marketing, engineering, or an equivalent field or licensure. A Masters in Business Administration is a plus, says S&C Electric.
The position also requires flexibility from the chosen candidate, as he or she must be available to travel 2o% to 30% of the time, sometimes on less than a week’s notice. And the position also may include overtime or weekend hours, when they are required to meet a customer’s needs or deadlines.
