E Source has made available the E Source Energy Efficiency Predictor, which helps utilities predict who’s most likely to participate in their efficiency programs. The program also breaks customers into segments, so that they can prioritize who to target first. EE Predictor’s insights about business customers help utilities improve their EE portfolio development, program design, and marketing planning in a cost-effective and meaningful way.

Con Edison experienced a banner year for energy efficiency in its service territory. More than 47,700 customers received incentives from Con Edison’s Green Team to make energy- and money-saving upgrades to their homes and businesses in 2013. The more than 45,700 customers who made upgrades to save electricity and the nearly 2,000 customers who made gas upgrades received $45.94 million in incentives. The company’s Green Team paid those incentives for new energy-efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems, building controls and other energy-saving measures.

WegoWise saw its measurement and verification business surged 77 percent in the last year. WegoWise now measures energy savings for more than 2,100 building upgrades and retrofits. WegoWise automatically tracks and benchmarks utility use across building portfolios to identify the worst performers ripe for upgrades. The company’s growing measurement and verification services builds on that platform to compare projected utility use against actual use, helping to identify unforeseen outcomes and ensure retrofits deliver expected savings. Key to WegoWise’s rapid growth has been its highly affordable pricing.
