ELM MicroGrid Unveils Upgraded FieldSight 2.0 Cloud-based Energy Management Tool
Battery storage microgrid developer ELM MicroGrid today unveiled FieldSight Cloud 2.0, the latest upgrade to its advanced energy management platform.
Texas-based ELM’s evolution of its FieldSight app is updated for helping customers manage their microgrid systems and simplify new levels of system complexity. It includes a customized Distributed Energy Resource Management landing page, interactive data charts, flow diagrams and other tools allowing users to adapt their microgrid site pages to operational needs.
“FieldSight Cloud 2.0 represents the culmination of our commitment to empowering customers with cutting-edge tools for managing energy systems,” Aron Bowman, President of ELM MicroGrid, said in a statement. “With its intuitive interface, dynamic insights, and customizable control, this dashboard offers a transformative experience for energy professionals seeking efficiency and reliability.”
The original FieldSight technology was introduced eight years ago around the same time that ELM Companies CEO and founder Lee Graves spun off ELM MicroGrid into its own company. The ELM MicroGrid Battery Energy Storage System was first installed in 2018, and the engineering behind the FieldSight controller has been fine-tuned and upgraded to accelerate full grid interconnection, enhanced control and cloud-based monitoring advancements.
ELM MicroGrid delivers battery energy storage microgrid systems for utilities, military, commercial and industrial customers. Among its projects include battery storage microgrids for Telluride High School in Colorado, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California and Highbourne Cay in the Bahamas.
One year ago, ELM MicroGrid and ELM Solar opened their new manufacturing and distribution facility in the Dallas suburb of The Colony. The 125,000-square-foot facility is home to microgrid and solar thermal technology design, manufacturing and logistics.
The new factory, coupled with ELM’s manufacturing site in nearby Oklahoma, is helping the company increase its production line to about 1,000 microgrids annually.
