Distro Energy is developing microgrid marketplaces to accelerate the energy transition. Using proven market principles and next generation software technologies, Distro aims to help commercial real estate owners and their on-site partners to jointly optimize their energy portfolio.
The first deployed marketplace is currently in beta. Located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, it has enabled smart local energy trading, which maximizes returns on renewable capacity and lowers overall energy prices for all participants.
Further beta trials, and commercial deployments, are scheduled for 2021.
