The Advanced Energy Centre at MaRS Discovery District is working with Navigant Consulting to develop The Future of Microgrids report series. With the majority of microgrids currently operating in Ontario still at the pilot and demonstration phase, this series will examine the commercial viability of microgrids in Ontario, forecasting deployment of these systems on fully commercial terms. The analysis will also take into account the economic and non-economic factors which will affect the business case for each use case, examined within residential, institutional, utility and commercial/industrial customer segments.
